VALEOVOX OPINION LEADER LIA SPILIOTES TO SPEAK AT PBIRG
PRESENTATION FOCUSES ON INTELLIGENT USE OF DATA IN TODAY’S CHALLENGING MARKET Naples, FL ––ValeoVox,Inc., a technology solutions firm that develops customized product applications and workflow processes for disease management, announced that its president and co-founder, Amelia Spiliotes, will be presenting at the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence and Research Group (PBIRG) Annual General Meeting, May 16-19 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida.
The overall theme of the 49th Annual General Meeting, The New Basics, encompasses new ways of thinking, different ways of gathering insights and retooling existing knowledge
In a letter to attendees, 2010 PBIRG President James Parrish, Ph.D., of Pfizer, Inc. said, “Our industry has been severely tested in the past 18 months resulting in more tightly constrained resources, limited budgets and a refocusing on hitherto nontraditional markets. Previous methods for researching customers and markets will have more limited success in the future environment. This year we are focusing on sharing best practices among our membership and offering opportunities for training and learning new techniques which will help each of us to address the challenges we face in our professional lives”.
Ms. Spiliotes will present Fuel Efficiency in a Lean Economy at the PBIRG conference. She will give an in-depth look at the need to ‘get smarter’ about data. Her discussion will cover how companies can perform better, faster and leaner by taking an upfront look at how they handle information, how they can address potential problems ahead of time and what efficiencies are needed for companies get what they need, when they need it.
Diane Glynn, president of TAG Research, a market research and consulting firm headquartered in Stow, MA, will open the discussion with comments on the need and importance of knowledge management to pharmaceutical companies in order for them to maintain a competitive edge.
“In today’s economy, the need for peak performance has increased the pressure on companies to place bets with imperfect information”, said Ms. Spiliotes. “Pharmaceutical companies, now more than ever, must deal with increased budgetary constraints and more intense competition. This alone is accelerating the need for greater efficiencies in managing, monitoring, and mining vital knowledge capital.”
Ms. Spiliotes will use the her company’s interactive knowledge management software product, Market Intelligence Manager ™ (eMIM) to demonstrate a way that companies can collect and disseminate critical market data collected from a variety of data input sources to differentiate brands, get team buy-in, and determine optimal resource allocations.
Specifically, Ms. Spiliotes will explore the important theme of getting smart about data and managing intelligence by leveraging technology:
- Examine the common, the uncommon, the useful and the not so useful metrics, measures and performance indicators of the impact and value of your knowledge base management efforts.
- Highlight how electronic dashboard technology is reshaping the way in which we look at data inputs, data outputs, and facilitating information management and sharing.
- Identify practical ways that your organization should think about measuring what matters most.
“The message we want to deliver to conference attendees is that the goal of knowledge base management efforts is to evaluate the business decisions at hand, to locate and deliver appropriate knowledge from inside and outside the organization and, in the end, help to give it meaning and help decision makers better understand the options available to them”, Ms. Spiliotes said.
